THE BAND
The Casimir Effect is an Oregon-based alternative pop-rock band founded in 2014 by Luke Kazmierowicz, Daniel Czyzewicz, and Alexandra “Ally” Czyzewicz. Following the release of their debut album Don’t Blink, the band expanded to include bassist Owen Hoffman-Smith, pianist Jono Neher, and drummer Jacob Ignacio. This lineup released their second album, All We Have Is Today, in February 2019. Their third full-length album, Tears & Pie, was released on October 1, 2024.
The current lineup includes Luke Kazmierowicz, Daniel Czyzewicz, Ally Czyzewicz, Sean Moultrie, and Matt Sutherland.
Drawing from a wide range of influences, The Casimir Effect creates a sound that blends catchy pop melodies and vocal arrangements with rock and electronic elements, hip-hop grooves, and progressive song structures. Lyrical and musical integrity are central to the band’s identity, with a focus on adding depth, creativity, and originality to modern pop music.
